I seek your favor ¹  with all my heart. Have mercy on me as you promised! ² 

Turn toward me and extend mercy to me, as you typically do to your loyal followers. ¹ 

Listen to my appeal for mercy! ¹  Deliver me, as you promised. ² 

O Lord, listen to me! ¹  Pay attention to ²  my plea for mercy!

ס (Samek) You shrouded yourself ¹  with anger and then pursued us; you killed without mercy.

Those who worship ¹  worthless idols ²  forfeit the mercy that could be theirs. ³ 

He has done this ¹  to show mercy ²  to our ancestors, ³  and to remember his holy covenant ⁴  –

raised their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy ¹  on us.”

So ¹  he called out, ²  “Jesus, Son of David, ³  have mercy ⁴  on me!”

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

Forgive all the rebellious acts of your sinful people and cause their captors to have mercy on them. ¹ 

Although ¹  I am innocent, ²  I could not answer him; ³  I could only plead ⁴  with my judge ⁵  for mercy.

Have mercy on me, ¹  Lord, for I am frail! Heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking! ² 

Have mercy on me, for I am in distress! My eyes grow dim ¹  from suffering. ²  I have lost my strength. ³ 

As for me, I said: ¹  “O Lord, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you!

As for you, O Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up, so I can pay them back!” ¹ 

I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” O Lord, pay attention to my plea for mercy!

for jealousy kindles ¹  a husband’s ²  rage, and he will not show mercy ³  when he takes revenge.

The one who covers ¹  his transgressions will not prosper, ²  but whoever confesses them and forsakes them will find mercy. ³ 

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting, ¹  “Have mercy ²  on us, Son of David!” ³
