When Jesus learned of this, ¹  he said, “You who have such little faith! ²  Why are you arguing ³  among yourselves about having no bread?

and said, “I tell you the truth, ¹  unless you turn around and become like little children, ²  you will never ³  enter the kingdom of heaven!

Then little children were brought to him for him to lay his hands on them and pray. ¹  But the disciples scolded those who brought them. ² 

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” ¹ 

After ¹  a little while, those standing there came up to Peter and said, “You really are one of them too – even your accent ²  gives you away!”

Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their ¹  boat mending nets.

He asked him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be healed and live.”

Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

“Whoever welcomes ¹  one of these little children ²  in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

Going a little farther, he threw himself to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour would pass from him.

Then ¹  a little later someone else ²  saw him and said, “You are one of them too.” But Peter said, “Man, ³  I am not!”

Philip replied, ¹  “Two hundred silver coins worth ²  of bread would not be enough for them, for each one to get a little.”

Then Jesus said, “I will be with you for only a little while longer, ¹  and then ²  I am going to the one who sent me.

In a little while ¹  the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

So they kept on repeating, ¹  “What is the meaning of what he says, ²  ‘In a little while’? ³  We do not understand ⁴  what he is talking about.” ⁵ 

an educator of the senseless, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the essential features of knowledge and of the truth –

I wish that you would be patient with me in a little foolishness, but indeed you are being patient with me!

¹  although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became ²  little children ³  among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

For perhaps it was for this reason that he was separated from you for a little while, so that you would have him back eternally, ¹ 

For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness.
