Now this is the basis for judging: ¹  that the light has come into the world and people ²  loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

Then Jesus spoke out again, ¹  “I am the light of the world. ²  The one who follows me will never ³  walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus replied, ¹  “The light is with you for a little while longer. ²  Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. ³  The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” ¹  is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge ²  of God in the face of Christ. ³ 

But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses ¹  us from all sin. ² 

Night will be no more, and they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.

And he was transfigured before them. ¹  His ²  face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

For nothing is hidden except to be revealed, ¹  and nothing concealed except to be brought to light.

“But in those days, after that suffering, ¹  the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

He came as a witness ¹  to testify ²  about the light, so that everyone ³  might believe through him.

As ¹  I was en route and near Damascus, ²  about noon a very bright ³  light from heaven ⁴  suddenly flashed ⁵  around me.

For our momentary, light suffering ¹  is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share ¹  in the saints’ ²  inheritance in the light.

The one who says he is in the light but still hates ¹  his fellow Christian ²  is still in the darkness.

The one who loves his fellow Christian ¹  resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. ² 

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy, ¹  your whole body will be full of light.

But if your eye is diseased, ¹  your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light, and what is whispered in your ear, ¹  proclaim from the housetops. ²
