Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is there if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

You are to kill the bull before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting

and you are to kill the ram and take its blood and splash it all around on the altar.

If you kill ¹  this entire people at once, ²  then the nations that have heard of your fame will say,

The Lord was also angry enough at Aaron to kill him, but at that time I prayed for him ¹  too.

The Lord your God will deliver it over to you ¹  and you must kill every single male by the sword.

‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

The king responded, “Give the first woman the living child; don’t kill him. She is the mother.”

She asked Elijah, “Why, prophet, have you come ¹  to me to confront me with ²  my sin and kill my son?”

Now you say, ‘Go and say to your master, “Elijah is back,”’ ¹  but he will kill me.”

And that God would be willing ¹  to crush me, that he would let loose ²  his hand and ³  kill me. ⁴ 

Protect me from ¹  the wicked men who attack ²  me, my enemies who crowd around me for the kill. ³ 

Look, they hurl insults at me and openly threaten to kill me, ¹  for they say, ²  “Who hears?”

For my enemies talk about me; those waiting for a chance to kill me plot my demise. ¹ 

They kill the widow and the one residing outside his native land, and they murder the fatherless. ¹ 

For the waywardness ¹  of the simpletons will kill ²  them, and the careless ease ³  of fools will destroy them.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

I will kill everything living in Jerusalem, ¹  people and animals alike! They will die from terrible diseases.

Although ¹  Herod ²  wanted to kill John, ³  he feared the crowd because they accepted John as a prophet.

They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.
