Hope ¹  deferred ²  makes the heart sick, ³  but a longing fulfilled ⁴  is like ⁵  a tree of life.

For surely there is a future, ¹  and your hope will not be cut off. ² 

Let him bury his face in the dust; ¹  perhaps there is hope.

Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced; my body ¹  also will live in hope,

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we behave with great boldness, ¹ 

And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test! ¹
