Then ¹  Jesus ²  led them out as far as Bethany, ³  and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, wash ¹  not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”

Yet the Most High ¹  does not live in houses made by human hands, ²  as the prophet says,

saying, “Give me this power ¹  too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Then, after they had fasted ¹  and ²  prayed and placed their hands ³  on them, they sent them off.

and on the third day they threw the ship’s gear ¹  overboard with their own hands.

But about Israel he says, “All day long I held out my hands to this disobedient and stubborn people!” ¹ 

So I want the men ¹  to pray ²  in every place, lifting up holy hands ³  without anger or dispute.

Do not lay hands on anyone ¹  hastily and so identify with the sins of others. ²  Keep yourself pure.

And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, ¹  and the heavens are the works of your hands.

“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their ¹  hands when they eat.” ² 

When ¹  they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. ² 

Then little children were brought to him for him to lay his hands on them and pray. ¹  But the disciples scolded those who brought them. ² 

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” ¹  So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

He asked him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be healed and live.”

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

The Pharisees and the experts in the law asked him, “Why do your disciples not live according to the tradition of the elders, but eat ¹  with unwashed hands?”

They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking, and they asked him to place his hands on him.

Then Jesus ¹  placed his hands on the man’s ²  eyes again. And he opened his eyes, ³  his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Jesus ¹  was going through the grain fields on ²  a Sabbath, ³  and his disciples picked some heads of wheat, ⁴  rubbed them in their hands, and ate them. ⁵
