Look ¹  at me and be appalled; put your hands over your mouths. ² 

It claps ¹  its hands at him in derision and hisses him away from his place. ² 

the chief men refrained from talking and covered their mouths with their hands;

With his hands ¹  he covers ²  the lightning, and directs it against its target.

He trains my hands for battle; ¹  my arms can bend even the strongest bow. ² 

If we had rejected our God, ¹  and spread out our hands in prayer to another god, ² 

The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land.

Let the rivers clap their hands! Let the mountains sing in unison

hands, but cannot touch, feet, but cannot walk. They cannot even clear their throats. ¹ 

May you accept my prayer like incense, my uplifted hands like the evening offering! ¹ 

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to relax, ¹ 

haughty eyes, ¹  a lying tongue, ²  and hands that shed innocent blood, ³ 

What the sluggard desires ¹  will kill him, ²  for his hands ³  refuse to work.

Do not be one who strikes hands in pledge or who puts up security for debts.

She obtains ¹  wool and flax, and she is pleased to work with her hands. ² 

Because of laziness the roof ¹  caves in, and because of idle hands ²  the house leaks.

For this reason all hands hang limp, ¹  every human heart loses its courage. ² 

Strengthen the hands that have gone limp, steady the knees that shake! ¹ 

Let us lift up our hearts ¹  and our hands to God in heaven:
