In the camp they resented ¹  Moses, and Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest. ² 

“Tell the Israelites that they must turn and camp ¹  before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you are to camp by the sea before Baal Zephon opposite it. ² 

“Blood guilt ¹  will be accounted to any man ²  from the house of Israel ³  who slaughters an ox or a lamb or a goat inside the camp or outside the camp, ⁴ 

At the commandment ¹  of the Lord the Israelites would begin their journey, and at the commandment of the Lord they would make camp; as long as ²  the cloud remained settled over the tabernacle they would camp.

and listen to what they are saying. Then you will be brave ¹  and attack the camp.” So he went down with Purah his servant to where the sentries were guarding the camp. ²

¹  And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they traveled ²  from the camp.

And when the dew came down ¹  on the camp in the night, the manna fell ²  with it.)

So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, ¹  just as the Lord commanded Moses.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the community went out to meet them outside the camp.

When evening arrives he must wash himself with water and then at sunset he may reenter the camp.
