Abimelech went back ¹  to Arumah; Zebul drove Gaal and his brothers out of Shechem. ² 

His brothers by their clans, as listed in their genealogical records: The leader Jeiel, Zechariah,

Their father Ephraim mourned for them many days and his brothers came to console him.

The gatekeepers were: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brothers. Shallum was the leader;

My breath is repulsive ¹  to my wife; I am loathsome ²  to my brothers. ³

Now Joseph’s brothers ¹  saw him from a distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.

When Joseph reached his brothers, they stripped him ¹  of his tunic, the special tunic that he wore.

Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is there if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

returned to his brothers, and said, “The boy isn’t there! And I, where can I go?”

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and go ¹  to the land of Canaan!

Then his brothers also came and threw themselves down before him; they said, “Here we are; we are your slaves.”

after he has sold himself he retains a right of redemption. ¹  One of his brothers may redeem him,

The people contended ¹  with Moses, saying, ²  “If only ³  we had died when our brothers died before the Lord!

Moses said to the Gadites and the Reubenites, “Must your brothers go to war while you ¹  remain here?
