Whenever ¹  you enter a town ²  and the people ³  welcome you, eat what is set before you.

Then ¹  the whole group of them rose up and brought Jesus ²  before Pilate. ³ 

“Sir,” the official said to him, “come down before my child dies.”

Then what if you see the Son of Man ascending where he was before? ¹ 

Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus ¹  before and who was one of the rulers, ²  said, ³ 

Never before ¹  has anyone heard of someone causing a man born blind to see. ²

They stood these men before the apostles, who prayed ¹  and placed ²  their hands on them.

Before ¹  Jesus ²  arrived, John ³  had proclaimed a baptism for repentance ⁴  to all the people of Israel.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people. ¹ 

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, ¹  and do this before unbelievers?

that ¹  by revelation the divine secret ²  was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. ³ 

He himself is before all things and all things are held together ¹  in him.

In this way you will live ¹  a decent life before outsiders and not be in need. ² 

Such prayer for all ¹  is good and welcomed before God our Savior,

Those guilty of sin ¹  must be rebuked ²  before all, ³  as a warning to the rest. ⁴ 

in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began. ¹ 

But before all this, ¹  they will seize ²  you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues ³  and prisons. You ⁴  will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.

But I have nothing definite ¹  to write to my lord ²  about him. ³  Therefore I have brought him before you all, and especially before you, King Agrippa, ⁴  so that after this preliminary hearing ⁵  I may have something to write.

The one who conquers ¹  will be dressed like them ²  in white clothing, ³  and I will never ⁴  erase ⁵  his name from the book of life, but ⁶  will declare ⁷  his name before my Father and before his angels.
