For my sins overwhelm me; ¹  like a heavy load, they are too much for me to bear.

They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. ¹ 

Like ¹  a roaring lion or a roving bear, ²  so is a wicked ruler over a poor people. ³ 

ד (Dalet) To me he is like a bear lying in ambush, ¹  like a hidden lion ²  stalking its prey. ³ 

so that you may bear your disgrace and be ashamed of all you have done in consoling them.

In a good field, by abundant waters, it was planted to grow branches, bear fruit, and become a beautiful vine.

She replied, “Here is my servant Bilhah! Have sexual relations with ¹  her so that she can bear ²  children ³  for me ⁴  and I can have a family through her.” ⁵

If a man has sexual intercourse with his aunt, he has exposed his uncle’s nakedness; they must bear responsibility for their sin, they will die childless.

But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean, then she will be free of ill effects ¹  and will be able to bear children.

“How long must I bear ¹  with this evil congregation ²  that murmurs against me? I have heard the complaints of the Israelites that they murmured against me.

Remember the ancient days; bear in mind ¹  the years of past generations. ²  Ask your father and he will inform you, your elders, and they will tell you.

Take note, O Lord, ¹  of the way your servants are taunted, ²  and of how I must bear so many insults from people! ³ 

If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, ¹  but if you are a mocker, ²  you alone must ³  bear it. ⁴ 

It is better for a person to meet ¹  a mother bear being robbed of her cubs, than ²  to encounter ³  a fool in his folly. ⁴ 

All this ¹  monotony ²  is tiresome; no one can bear ³  to describe it: ⁴  The eye is never satisfied with seeing, nor is the ear ever content ⁵  with hearing.

A cow and a bear will graze together, their young will lie down together. ¹  A lion, like an ox, will eat straw.
