But Jacob ¹  himself went on ahead of them, and he bowed toward the ground seven times as he approached ²  his brother.

So they approached the man who was in charge of Joseph’s household and spoke to him at the entrance to the house.

After this all the Israelites approached, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.

Whenever they entered ¹  the tent of meeting, and whenever they approached ²  the altar, they would wash, ³  just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

The Lord spoke to Moses after the death of Aaron’s two sons when they approached the presence of the Lord ¹  and died,

Then the officers who were over the thousands of the army, the commanders over thousands and the commanders over hundreds, approached Moses

When they approached the Israelite camp, the Israelites rose up and struck down the Moabites, who then ran from them. The Israelites ¹  thoroughly defeated ²  Moab.

As they approached him, ¹  Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike these people ²  with blindness.” ³  The Lord ⁴  struck them with blindness as Elisha requested. ⁵ 

Jehu approached Jezreel. When Jezebel heard the news, she put on some eye liner, ¹  fixed up her hair, and leaned out the window.

Now ¹  when he approached Bethphage ²  and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, ³  he sent two of the disciples,
