Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all ¹  be born from above.’ ² 

But the Jerusalem above is free, ¹  and she is our mother.

As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,

Such ¹  wisdom does not come ²  from above but is earthly, natural, ³  demonic.

Above all keep ¹  your love for one another fervent, ²  because love covers a multitude of sins. ³ 

Above the platform over their heads was something like a sapphire shaped like a throne. High above on the throne was a form that appeared to be a man.

So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. ¹  It was so. ² 

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

These who are named above were the leaders of their clans. Their extended families increased greatly in numbers.

What then would be one’s lot from God above, one’s heritage from the Almighty ¹  on high?

then this ¹  also would be iniquity to be judged, ²  for I would have been false ³  to God above.

He reached down ¹  from above and took hold of me; he pulled me from the surging water. ² 

He summons the heavens above, as well as the earth, so that he might judge his people. ¹ 

He made his sanctuary as enduring as the heavens above; ¹  as secure as the earth, which he established permanently. ² 

I will give him an eternal dynasty, ¹  and make his throne as enduring as the skies above. ² 

Above the sound of the surging water, ¹  and the mighty waves of the sea, the Lord sits enthroned in majesty. ² 

For you, O Lord, are the sovereign king ¹  over the whole earth; you are elevated high above all gods.

For he will look down from his sanctuary above; ¹  from heaven the Lord will look toward earth, ² 

For as the skies are high above the earth, so his loyal love towers ¹  over his faithful followers. ² 

Reach down ¹  from above! Grab me and rescue me from the surging water, ²  from the power of foreigners, ³
