I did not recognize ¹  him, but I came baptizing with water so that he could be revealed to Israel.” ² 

“Lord,” Judas (not Judas Iscariot) ¹  said, ²  “what has happened that you are going to reveal ³  yourself to us and not to the world?”

But now ¹  apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) ²  has been disclosed –

And Isaiah is even bold enough to say, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I became well known to those who did not ask for me.” ¹ 

but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith –

It is the same with you. Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, ¹  seek to abound in order to strengthen the church.

The one who practices sin is of the devil, ¹  because the devil has been sinning ²  from the beginning. For this purpose ³  the Son of God was revealed: to destroy ⁴  the works of the devil.

When I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, I will accept you along with your soothing aroma. I will display my holiness among you in the sight of the nations.

“‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: When I regather the house of Israel from the peoples where they are dispersed, I will reveal my sovereign power ¹  over them in the sight of the nations, and they will live in their land that I gave to my servant Jacob.

And we all agree, ¹  our religion contains amazing revelation: ²  He ³  was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, ⁴  seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God.

For nothing is hidden except to be revealed, ¹  and nothing concealed except to be brought to light.

But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God. ¹ 

Jesus answered, “Neither this man ¹  nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that ²  the acts ³  of God may be revealed ⁴  through what happens to him. ⁵ 

But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession ¹  in Christ ²  and who makes known ³  through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place.

revealing ¹  that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, ²  written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets ³  but on tablets of human hearts.

And even if I am unskilled ¹  in speaking, yet I am certainly not so in knowledge. Indeed, we have made this plain to you in everything in every way.

that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.

This is evidence of God’s righteous judgment, to make you worthy ¹  of the kingdom of God, for which in fact you are suffering.

and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord ¹  will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival.
