He handed the territory of nations over to them, and they took possession of what other peoples had produced, ¹ 

Worthy of praise is ¹  the Most High God, who delivered ²  your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave Melchizedek ³  a tenth of everything.

Abraham took some sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech. The two of them made a treaty. ¹ 

May God give you the dew of the sky ¹  and the richness ²  of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

(Laban gave his female servant Zilpah to his daughter Leah to be her servant.) ¹ 

(Laban gave his female servant Bilhah to his daughter Rachel to be her servant.) ¹ 

He restored the chief cupbearer to his former position ¹  so that he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand,

“The man, the lord of the land, spoke harshly to us and treated us ¹  as if we were ²  spying on the land.

He wept loudly; ¹  the Egyptians heard it and Pharaoh’s household heard about it. ² 

Moses agreed ¹  to stay with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage. ² 

And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the curtain.

Then he put the large basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it ¹  for washing.

He then set the breastpiece ¹  on him and put the Urim and Thummim ²  into the breastpiece.

So Moses accepted the carts and the oxen and gave them to the Levites.

So Moses gave Gilead to Machir, son of Manasseh, and he lived there. ¹ 

And he ¹  brought signs and great, devastating wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on his whole family ²  before our very eyes.

Moses assigned land to the half-tribe of Manasseh ¹  by its clans.

Joshua asked God to empower Caleb son of Jephunneh and assigned him Hebron. ¹ 

When Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s brother, ¹  captured it, Caleb ²  gave Acsah his daughter to him as a wife.

I prayed for this boy, and the Lord has given me the request that I asked of him.
