You will eat, not just one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days,

They observed the Festival of Temporary Shelters ¹  as required ²  and offered the proper number of ³  daily burnt offerings according to the requirement for each day.

to have them observe the fourteenth and the fifteenth day of the month of Adar each year

He was given daily provisions by the king of Babylon for the rest of his life until the day he died.

Woe ¹  to those who wish for the day of the Lord! Why do you want the Lord’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.

When Jonah began to enter the city one day’s walk, he announced, “At the end of forty days, ¹  Nineveh will be overthrown!” ² 

The Lord’s great day of judgment ¹  is almost here; it is approaching very rapidly! There will be a bitter sound on the Lord’s day of judgment; at that time warriors will cry out in battle. ² 

It will happen in one day (a day known to the Lord); not in the day or the night, but in the evening there will be light. ¹ 

And the rain fell ¹  on the earth forty days and forty nights.

The waters prevailed over ¹  the earth for 150 days.

And by the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth ¹  was dry.

Isaac ¹  said, “Since ²  I am so old, I could die at any time. ³ 

“‘On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Lord’s Passover.

Meanwhile for forty days the Philistine approached every morning and evening and took his position.

So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in just fifty-two days.

“Let the day on which ¹  I was born ²  perish, and the night that said, ³  ‘A man ⁴  has been conceived!’ ⁵ 

Have I not wept for the unfortunate? ¹  Was not my soul grieved for the poor?

God is a just judge; he is angry throughout the day. ¹ 

Every day I will praise you! I will praise your name continually! ¹ 

Wail, for the Lord’s day of judgment ¹  is near; it comes with all the destructive power of the sovereign judge. ²
