So King Adoni-Zedek of Jerusalem sent this message to King Hoham of Hebron, King Piram of Jarmuth, King Japhia of Lachish, and King Debir of Eglon:

So the five Amorite kings (the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon) and all their troops gathered together and advanced. They deployed their troops and fought against Gibeon. ¹ 

They did as ordered; ¹  they brought the five kings ²  out of the cave to him – the kings of Jerusalem, ³  Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon.

David reigned over Israel forty years; he reigned in Hebron seven years, and in Jerusalem ¹  thirty-three years.

In the thirty-first year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri became king over Israel. He ruled for twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.

In the twelfth year of the reign of Israel’s King Joram, son of Ahab, Jehoram’s son Ahaziah became king over Judah.

In the second year of the reign of Israel’s King Joash son of Joahaz, ¹  Joash’s ²  son Amaziah became king over Judah.

In the twenty-seventh year of King Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Amaziah’s son Azariah became king over Judah.

In the second year of the reign of Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah, Uzziah’s son Jotham became king over Judah.

In the third year of the reign of Israel’s King Hoshea son of Elah, Ahaz’s son Hezekiah became king over Judah.

He reigned over Israel forty years; he reigned in Hebron seven years and in Jerusalem ¹  thirty-three years.

These were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king ruled over the Israelites: ¹ 

the king of Jericho ¹  (one), the king of Ai – located near Bethel – (one),

the king of Dor – near Naphath Dor – (one), the king of Goyim – near Gilgal – (one),

and all the cities of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon, and ended at the Ammonite border.

In the third year King Jehoshaphat of Judah came down to visit ¹  the king of Israel.

In the fourth year of King Ahab’s reign over Israel, Asa’s son Jehoshaphat became king over Judah.

All of them were listed in the genealogical records in the time of King Jotham of Judah and in the time of King Jeroboam of Israel.

The king of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah attacked Ramoth Gilead.

Later King Jehoshaphat of Judah made an alliance with King Ahaziah of Israel, who ¹  did evil.
