He asked me, ‘Who are you?’ I told him, ‘I’m ¹  an Amalekite.’

The woman conceived and then sent word to David saying, “I’m pregnant.”

“I am about to die. ¹  Be strong and become a man!

“How much less, ¹  then, can I answer him ²  and choose my words ³  to argue ⁴  with ⁵  him! ⁶

What you know, ¹  I ²  know also; I am not inferior ³  to you!

I was a father ¹  to the needy, and I investigated the case of the person I did not know;

Pay attention, Job – listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

When I saw this, I gave careful consideration to it; ¹  I received instruction from what I saw: ² 

Surely ¹  I am more brutish ²  than any other human being, ³  and I do not have human understanding; ⁴ 

Then you will again be my people and I will be your God. ¹
