but I show covenant faithfulness ¹  to the thousands ²  who choose ³  me and keep my commandments.

I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my allotted portion. ¹ 

if they break ¹  my rules and do not keep my commandments,

Then I would not be ashamed, if ¹  I were focused on ²  all your commands.

I am like a foreigner in this land. ¹  Do not hide your commands from me!

I will lift my hands to ¹  your commands, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.

Teach me proper discernment ¹  and understanding! For I consider your commands to be reliable. ² 

I realize that everything has its limits, but your commands are beyond full comprehension. ¹ 

Your commandments ¹  make me wiser than my enemies, for I am always aware of them.

May my tongue sing about your instructions, ¹  for all your commands are just.

My child, ²  if ³  you receive my words, and store up ⁴  my commands within you,

My child, ²  do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep ³  my commandments,

My child, guard the commands of your father and do not forsake the instruction of your mother.

The wise person ¹  accepts instructions, ²  but the one who speaks foolishness ³  will come to ruin. ⁴ 

The one who despises instruction ¹  will pay the penalty, ²  but whoever esteems instruction ³  will ⁴  be rewarded. ⁵ 

The one who obeys commandments guards ¹  his life; the one who despises his ways ²  will die. ³ 

we have sinned! We have done what is wrong and wicked; we have rebelled by turning away from your commandments and standards.

All this will come to pass ¹  because Abraham obeyed me ²  and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” ³ 

So the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse ¹  to obey my commandments and my instructions?

“‘If, however, ¹  you do not obey me and keep ²  all these commandments –
