So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

They replied, ¹  “Caesar’s.” He said to them, ²  “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” ³ 

Woe to you! ¹  You are like unmarked graves, and people ²  walk over them without realizing it!” ³ 

So ¹  he said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” ² 

If I have told you people ¹  about earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? ² 

and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation. ¹ 

“I am the good shepherd. I ¹  know my own ²  and my own know me –

My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

and not for the Jewish nation ¹  only, ²  but to gather together ³  into one the children of God who are scattered.) ⁴ 

Everything ¹  I have belongs to you, ²  and everything you have belongs to me, ³  and I have been glorified by them. ⁴ 

For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by ¹  the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit.

If we sowed spiritual blessings among you, is it too much to reap material things from you?

You know that when you were pagans you were often led astray by speechless idols, however you were led.

The ¹  armies that are in heaven, dressed in white, clean, fine linen, ²  were following him on white horses.

But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.
