Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

You will look for me ¹  but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come.”

and not for the Jewish nation ¹  only, ²  but to gather together ³  into one the children of God who are scattered.) ⁴ 

But the officers ¹  who came for them ²  did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported, ³ 

But when the Jews objected, ¹  I was forced to appeal to Caesar ²  – not that I had some charge to bring ³  against my own people. ⁴ 

Therefore if the uncircumcised man obeys ¹  the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?

For the creation was subjected to futility – not willingly but because of God ¹  who subjected it – in hope

It is not as though the word of God had failed. For not all those who are descended from Israel are truly Israel, ¹ 

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

Look at the people of Israel. ¹  Are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar?

I do not mean that we rule over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm. ¹ 

Not that we are adequate ¹  in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy ²  is from God,

The former proclaim Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, because they think they can cause trouble for me in my imprisonment. ¹ 

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.

I do not say this because I am seeking a gift. ¹  Rather, I seek the credit that abounds to your account.

It was not because we do not have that right, but to give ourselves as an example for you to imitate. ¹ 

And no one assumes this honor ¹  on his own initiative, ²  but only when called to it by God, ³  as in fact Aaron was.

But if you do not experience discipline, ¹  something all sons ²  have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons.

But you have dishonored the poor! ¹  Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?

Let your ¹  beauty ²  not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry ³  or fine clothes –
