At ¹  the time for the banquet ²  he sent his slave ³  to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’

Now ¹  when he approached Bethphage ²  and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, ³  he sent two of the disciples,

When harvest time came, he sent a slave ¹  to the tenants so that they would give ²  him his portion of the crop. ³  However, the tenants beat his slave ⁴  and sent him away empty-handed.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, ¹  but that the world should be saved through him.

For the one whom God has sent ¹  speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly. ² 

nor do you have his word residing in you, because you do not believe the one whom he sent.

Jesus replied, ¹  “This is the deed ²  God requires ³  – to believe in the one whom he ⁴  sent.”

Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes ¹  me will live because of me.

do you say about the one whom the Father set apart ¹  and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

God raised up ¹  his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning ²  each one of you from your iniquities.” ³ 

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel – and not with clever speech, so that the cross of Christ would not become useless. ¹ 

Again he sent other slaves, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Look! The feast I have prepared for you is ready. ¹  My oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.”’

As ¹  he was sitting on the judgment seat, ²  his wife sent a message ³  to him: ⁴  “Have nothing to do with that innocent man; ⁵  I have suffered greatly as a result of a dream ⁶  about him today.”

When ¹  the men came to Jesus, ²  they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to you to ask, ³  ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?’” ⁴ 

After this ¹  the Lord appointed seventy-two ²  others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every town ³  and place where he himself was about to go.

Jesus replied, ¹  “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. ²  I ³  have not come on my own initiative, ⁴  but he ⁵  sent me.

In this ¹  is love: not that ²  we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice ³  for our sins.

Then ¹  the angel ²  said to me, “These words are reliable ³  and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants ⁴  what must happen soon.”
