“Get dressed for service ¹  and keep your lamps burning; ² 

So the churches were being strengthened in the faith and were increasing in number every day. ¹ 

(We were in all two hundred seventy-six ¹  persons on the ship.) ² 

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.

taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Wives, submit to your ¹  husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

I am writing to you, ¹  little children, that ²  your sins have been forgiven because of his ³  name.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! ¹  Woe to you, Bethsaida! If ²  the miracles ³  done in you had been done in Tyre ⁴  and Sidon, ⁵  they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

And you, Capernaum, ¹  will you be exalted to heaven? ²  No, you will be thrown down to Hades! ³  For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! ¹  Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if ²  the miracles ³  done in you had been done in Tyre ⁴  and Sidon, ⁵  they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius ¹  replied, ²  “What is it, Lord?” The angel ³  said to him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity ⁴  have gone up as a memorial ⁵  before God.

and when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders threw themselves to the ground ¹  before the Lamb. Each ²  of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense (which are the prayers of the saints). ³ 

When the seven thunders spoke, I was preparing to write, but ¹  just then ²  I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders spoke and do not write it down.”

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities ¹  in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.

Other seeds fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up and choked them. ² 

And aren’t all his sisters here with us? Where did he get all this?” ¹ 

For just like the days of Noah ¹  were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

When Jesus saw their ¹  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ² 

And immediately the man’s ¹  ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.
