Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ¹  ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ ² 

So when Jesus ¹  said to them, “I am he,” they retreated ²  and fell to the ground. ³ 

Then ¹  they cast lots for them, and the one chosen was Matthias; ²  so he was counted with the eleven apostles. ³ 

He ¹  fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, ²  why are you persecuting me?” ³ 

Then I ¹  fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’

And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty-three thousand died in a single day. ¹ 

Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

And against whom was God ¹  provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness? ² 

They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, ¹ 

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? ¹  Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. ² 

And as he sowed, some seeds ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

Other ¹  seeds fell on rocky ground ²  where they did not have much soil. They sprang up quickly because the soil was not deep. ³ 

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

“Yes, Lord,” she replied, ¹  “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”

and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures ¹  and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.

And as he sowed, some seed ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

Other seed fell on rocky ground ¹  where it did not have much soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. ² 

Other seed fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up and choked it, ²  and it did not produce grain.

So they brought the boy ¹  to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He ²  fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

Going a little farther, he threw himself to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour would pass from him.
