For every creation of God is good and no food ¹  is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.

Tell them to do good, ¹  to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others. ² 

In this way they will save up ¹  a treasure for themselves as a firm foundation ²  for the future and so lay hold of ³  what is truly life.

Protect that good thing ¹  entrusted to you, through the Holy Spirit who lives within us.

I have competed well; ¹  I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!

showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,

tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,

And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, ¹ 

Do they not blaspheme the good name of the one you belong to? ¹ 

So whoever knows what is good to do ¹  and does not do it is guilty of sin. ² 

“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad ¹  and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.

This saying ¹  is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on such truths, ²  so that those who have placed their faith in God may be intent on engaging in good works. These things are good and beneficial for all people.

and maintain good conduct ¹  among the non-Christians, ²  so that though ³  they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when he appears. ⁴ 

In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad ¹  tree bears bad fruit.

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit.

He ¹  answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

Now ¹  while some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned ²  with beautiful stones and offerings, ³  Jesus ⁴  said,

“I am the good shepherd. I ¹  know my own ²  and my own know me –

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.
