Then ¹  he ²  sat down opposite the offering box, ³  and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many rich people were throwing in large amounts.

There were also women, watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, ¹  and Salome.

“As for these things that you are gazing at, the days will come when not one stone will be left on another. ¹  All will be torn down!” ² 

And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. ¹ 

Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, ¹  they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake, ²  approaching the boat, and they were frightened.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  if anyone obeys ²  my teaching, ³  he will never see death.” ⁴ 

Then the neighbors and the people who had seen him previously ¹  as a beggar began saying, ²  “Is this not the man ³  who used to sit and beg?”

Then Simon Peter, who had been following him, arrived and went right into the tomb. He saw ¹  the strips of linen cloth lying there,

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

“Look!” he said. ¹  “I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to ¹  Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed. ² 

He ¹  saw heaven ²  opened ³  and an object something like a large sheet ⁴  descending, ⁵  being let down to earth ⁶  by its four corners.

While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, ¹  his spirit was greatly upset ²  because he saw ³  the city was full of idols.

So Paul stood ¹  before the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I see that you are very religious ²  in all respects. ³ 

especially saddened ¹  by what ²  he had said, that they were not going to see him ³  again. Then they accompanied ⁴  him to the ship.

Then Festus ¹  said, “King Agrippa, ²  and all you who are present here with us, you see this man about whom the entire Jewish populace ³  petitioned ⁴  me both in Jerusalem ⁵  and here, ⁶  shouting loudly ⁷  that he ought not to live any longer.

The people also stood there watching, but the rulers ridiculed ¹  him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save ²  himself if ³  he is the Christ ⁴  of God, his chosen one!”

Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me! ¹  Touch me and see; a ghost ²  does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”

Now while Jesus ¹  was in Jerusalem ²  at the feast of the Passover, many people believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs he was doing. ³
