who has become a priest not by a legal regulation about physical descent ¹  but by the power of an indestructible life.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects ¹  the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath ²  remains ³  on him.

“I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  the one who hears ²  my message ³  and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, ⁴  but has crossed over from death to life.

and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and announce ¹  to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us). ² 

Now ¹  someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

Now ¹  a certain ruler ²  asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” ³ 

and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation. ¹ 

For the bread of God is the one who ¹  comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

just as you have given him authority over all humanity, ¹  so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him. ² 

“Go and stand in the temple courts ¹  and proclaim ²  to the people all the words of this life.”

nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, ¹  because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone. ² 

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but ¹  the Spirit is your life ²  because of righteousness.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, ¹  nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you,

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

When Christ (who is your ¹  life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.

Now this ¹  is the promise that he ²  himself made to ³  us: eternal life. ⁴ 

maintain ¹  yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating ²  the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. ³
