And you, Capernaum, ¹  will you be exalted to heaven? ²  No, you will be thrown down to Hades! ³  For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day.

Jesus answered, ¹  “You ²  unbelieving ³  and perverse generation! How much longer ⁴  must I be with you? How much longer must I endure ⁵  you? ⁶  Bring him here to me.”

So be patient, brothers and sisters, ¹  until the Lord’s return. ²  Think of how the farmer waits ³  for the precious fruit of the ground and is patient ⁴  for it until it receives the early and late rains.

but did not have marital relations ¹  with her until she gave birth to a son, whom he named ²  Jesus.

I tell you the truth, ¹  you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny! ² 

But he refused. Instead, he went out and threw him in prison until he repaid the debt.

And in anger his lord turned him over to the prison guards to torture him ¹  until he repaid all he owed.

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

Then he said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”

He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there ¹  until you leave the area.

He swore to her, ¹  “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” ²

Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with ¹  three measures ²  of flour until all the dough had risen.” ³ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

For I tell you, I will not eat it again ¹  until it is fulfilled ²  in the kingdom of God.” ³ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow ²  today until you have denied ³  three times that you know me.”

But Jesus said, ¹  “Enough of this!” And he touched the man’s ²  ear and healed ³  him.

It was now ¹  about noon, ²  and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, ³ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  led them out as far as Bethany, ³  and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.
