She ¹  came up behind Jesus ²  and touched the edge ³  of his cloak, ⁴  and at once the bleeding ⁵  stopped.

so that this generation may be held accountable ¹  for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning ²  of the world, ³ 

– children not born ¹  by human parents ²  or by human desire ³  or a husband’s ⁴  decision, ⁵  but by God.

For my flesh is true ¹  food, and my blood is true ²  drink.

The one who eats ¹  my flesh and drinks my blood resides in me, and I in him. ²

the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.

The ¹  blood of the saints and prophets was found in her, ²  along with the blood ³  of all those who had been killed on the earth.”

He is dressed in clothing dipped ¹  in blood, and he is called ²  the Word of God.

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, ¹  we would not have participated with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’
