As for his people, ¹  he turned ²  a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into springs of water.

and sent out a raven; it kept flying ¹  back and forth until the waters had dried up on the earth.

Do you wish to torment ¹  a windblown ²  leaf and chase after dry chaff? ³ 

The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land.

If he holds back the waters, then they dry up; ¹  if he releases them, ²  they destroy ³  the land.

So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall ¹  for them on their right and on their left.
