The land must be divided by lot; and they will inherit in accordance with the names of their ancestral tribes.

Their inheritance must be apportioned ¹  by lot among the larger and smaller groups.

“These are the names of the men who are to allocate the land to you as an inheritance: ¹  Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

You must take one leader from every ¹  tribe to assist in allocating the land as an inheritance. ² 

And tongues spreading out like a fire ¹  appeared to them and came to rest on each one of them.

When they finished dividing the land into its regions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun some land. ¹ 

David, Zadok (a descendant of Eleazar), and Ahimelech (a descendant of Ithamar) divided them into groups to carry out their assigned responsibilities. ¹ 

He generously gives ¹  to the needy; his integrity endures. ²  He will be vindicated and honored. ³ 

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

He wisely placed some of his many sons throughout the regions of Judah and Benjamin in the various fortified cities. ¹  He supplied them with abundant provisions and acquired many wives for them. ² 

They made disbursements to all the males three years old and up who were listed in the genealogical records – to all who would enter the Lord’s temple to serve on a daily basis and fulfill their duties as assigned to their divisions. ¹ 

They reserved the burnt offerings and the cattle for the family divisions of the people to present to the Lord, as prescribed in the scroll of Moses. ¹ 

Then ¹  he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. After he took the seven loaves and gave thanks, he broke them and began giving them to the disciples to serve. So ²  they served the crowd.

You must divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families. To a larger group you must give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group you must give a smaller inheritance. Everyone’s inheritance must be in the place where his lot falls. You must inherit according to your ancestral ¹  tribes.

and gave their land as an inheritance, for his loyal love endures,

Riches and honor are with me, long-lasting wealth and righteousness.

“This is how you will divide this land for yourselves among the tribes of Israel.

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

Joshua drew lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord and divided the land among the Israelites according to their allotted portions.

Within the territory of the tribe of Benjamin they were allotted ¹  Geba and its pasturelands, Alemeth and its pasturelands, and Anathoth and its pasturelands. Their clans were allotted thirteen cities in all.
