All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

You must not have sexual intercourse ¹  with the wife of your fellow citizen to become unclean with her.

for the people who were in the land before you have done all these abominations, ¹  and the land has become unclean.

You must expel both men and women; you must put them outside the camp, so that ¹  they will not defile their camps, among which I live.”

When ¹  Jacob heard that Shechem ²  had violated his daughter Dinah, his sons were with the livestock in the field. So Jacob remained silent ³  until they came in.
