Preach the message, ¹  be ready ²  whether it is convenient or not, ³  reprove, rebuke, exhort ⁴  with complete patience and instruction.

But in your case, dear friends, even though we speak like this, we are convinced of better things relating to salvation.

They set ¹  a day to meet with him, ²  and they came to him where he was staying ³  in even greater numbers. ⁴  From morning until evening he explained things ⁵  to them, ⁶  testifying ⁷  about the kingdom of God ⁸  and trying to convince ⁹  them about Jesus from both the law of Moses and the prophets.

Then Saul threw his spear at Jonathan ¹  in order to strike him down. So Jonathan was convinced ²  that his father had decided to kill David.

Would it turn out well if he would examine ¹  you? Or as one deceives ²  a man would you deceive him?

but if ¹  it is from God, you will not be able to stop them, or you may even be found ²  fighting against God.” He convinced them, ³ 

and they summoned the apostles and had them beaten. ¹  Then ²  they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them.

So Paul ¹  entered ²  the synagogue ³  and spoke out fearlessly ⁴  for three months, addressing ⁵  and convincing ⁶  them about the kingdom of God. ⁷ 

For the love of Christ ¹  controls us, since we have concluded this, that Christ ²  died for all; therefore all have died.

In the same way ¹  God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, ²  and so he intervened with an oath,

“If ¹  they do not believe you or pay attention to ²  the former sign, then they may ³  believe the latter sign. ⁴ 

Do you intend to criticize mere words, and treat ¹  the words of a despairing man as wind?

So do not say, ¹  ‘We have found wisdom! God will refute ²  him, not man!’

“Be patient ¹  with me a little longer and I will instruct you, for I still have words to speak on God’s behalf. ² 

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted;

The king did not even listen to Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah, who had urged him not to burn the scroll. ¹ 

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, came in, and he saw and believed. ¹ 

But the centurion ¹  was more convinced ²  by the captain ³  and the ship’s owner than by what Paul said. ⁴ 

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators. ¹
