Can anyone catch it by its eyes, ¹  or pierce its nose with a snare? ² 

I did not harm them, but they hid a net to catch me and dug a pit to trap me. ¹ 

The lazy person does not roast ¹  his prey, but personal possessions ²  are precious to the diligent.

At the sound of the trumpet, it says, ‘Aha!’ And from a distance it catches the scent of battle, the thunderous shouting of commanders, and the battle cries.

Even your clothes are stained with the lifeblood of the poor who had not done anything wrong; you did not catch them breaking into your homes. ¹  Yet, in spite of all these things you have done, ²

Then ¹  they watched him carefully and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. ²  They wanted to take advantage of what he might say ³  so that they could deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction ⁴  of the governor.

At this also my heart pounds and leaps from its place.

Like an eagle that stirs up ¹  its nest, that hovers over its young, so the Lord ²  spread out his wings and took him, ³  he lifted him up on his pinions.

When I catch up with ¹  him he will be exhausted and worn out. ²  I will rout him, and the entire army that is with him will flee. I will kill only the king

They speak sinful words. ¹  So let them be trapped by their own pride and by the curses and lies they speak!

Proud men hide a snare for me; evil men ¹  spread a net by the path; they set traps for me. (Selah)

Does a bird swoop down into a trap on the ground if there is no bait? Does a trap spring up from the ground unless it has surely caught something?

Then she will pursue her lovers, but she will not catch ¹  them; she will seek them, but she will not find them. ²  Then she will say, “I will go back ³  to my husband, ⁴  because I was better off then than I am now.” ⁵ 

A trap ¹  seizes him by the heel; a snare ²  grips him.

so that they caused ¹  the cry of the poor to come before him, so that he hears ²  the cry of the needy.

Can you tie the bands ¹  of the Pleiades, or release the cords of Orion?

(40:25) ¹  “Can you pull in ²  Leviathan with a hook, and tie down ³  its tongue with a rope?

I chase my enemies and catch ¹  them; I do not turn back until I wipe them out.
