Just then, ¹  while she was still speaking to the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.

When all Israel’s elders had arrived, the priests lifted the ark.

When Elisha arrived at the house, there was ¹  the child lying dead on his bed.

He entered Jerusalem in the fifth month of the seventh year of the king.

They were distressed, ¹  because each one had been ²  so confident; they arrived there, ³  but were disappointed.

So the two of them ¹  journeyed together until they arrived in Bethlehem. ² When they entered ³  Bethlehem, ⁴  the whole village was excited about their arrival. ⁵  The women of the village said, ⁶  “Can this be Naomi?” ⁷ 

The Lord said to him, “Go back the way you came and then head for the Desert of Damascus. Go and anoint Hazael king over Syria.

When you arrive there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi and take him aside into an inner room. ¹ 

“Choose some people ¹  from among the exiles, namely, Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, all of whom have come from Babylon, and when you have done so go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah. ² 

When ¹  they arrived ²  in Salamis, ³  they began to proclaim ⁴  the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. ⁵  (Now they also had John ⁶  as their assistant.) ⁷
