Rather, each person will die for his own sins. The teeth of the person who eats the sour grapes will themselves grow numb. ¹ 

but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death. ¹ 

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

To the person who strikes you on the cheek, ¹  offer the other as well, ²  and from the person who takes away your coat, ³  do not withhold your tunic ⁴  either. ⁵ 

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit ¹  will not be forgiven. ² 

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions. ¹ 

But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God. ¹ 

so that all people ¹  will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away. ¹ 

This ¹  is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the bread your ancestors ²  ate, but then later died. ³  The one who eats ⁴  this bread will live forever.”

let the one who believes in me drink. ¹  Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him ²  will flow rivers of living water.’” ³ 

I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, ¹  and find pasture. ² 

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live ¹  even if he dies,

The person who does not love me does not obey ¹  my words. And the word ²  you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains ¹  in me – and I in him – bears ²  much fruit, ³  because apart from me you can accomplish ⁴  nothing.

And do you think, ¹  whoever you are, when you judge ²  those who practice such things and yet do them yourself, ³  that you will escape God’s judgment?

as it is written: “The one who gathered ¹  much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” ² 

But ¹  concerning the one who lacks such things ²  – he is blind. That is to say, he is ³  nearsighted, since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.

Everyone who resides ¹  in him does not sin; ²  everyone who sins has neither seen him nor known him.

By this ¹  the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone who does not practice righteousness – the one who does not love his fellow Christian ²  – is not of God.
