(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they perform a ritual washing, ¹  holding fast to the tradition of the elders.

and as they sailed he fell asleep. Now a violent windstorm ¹  came down on the lake, ²  and the boat ³  started filling up with water, and they were in danger.

And in his anguish ¹  he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.] ² 

(Now this man Judas ¹  acquired a field with the reward of his unjust deed, ²  and falling headfirst ³  he burst open in the middle and all his intestines ⁴  gushed out.

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

Therefore be alert, ¹  remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning ²  each one of you with tears.

about noon along the road, Your Majesty, ¹  I saw a light from heaven, ²  brighter than the sun, shining everywhere around ³  me and those traveling with me.

And what if he is willing to make known the wealth of his glory on the objects ¹  of mercy that he has prepared beforehand for glory –

so that now instead ¹  you should rather forgive and comfort him. ²  This will keep him from being overwhelmed by excessive grief to the point of despair. ³ 

In him ¹  we have redemption through his blood, ²  the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross – through him, ¹  whether things on earth or things in heaven.

And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we do for you,

For God did not destine us for wrath ¹  but for gaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, to sanctify the people by his own blood, Jesus also suffered outside the camp.

Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. ¹ 

His ¹  head and hair were as white as wool, even as white as snow, ²  and his eyes were like a fiery ³  flame.

A third of humanity was killed by these three plagues, that is, ¹  by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came out of their mouths.

They ¹  went up ²  on the broad plain of the earth ³  and encircled ⁴  the camp ⁵  of the saints and the beloved city, but ⁶  fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely. ⁷
