Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

For God said, ¹  ‘Honor your father and mother’ ²  and ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ³ 

“See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. ¹ 

So also my heavenly Father will do to you, if each of you does not forgive your ¹  brother ²  from your heart.”

And the landowner ¹  replied to one of them, ²  ‘Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage? ³ 

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ ¹  and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ² 

“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, ¹  do good to those who hate you,

The expert in religious law ¹  said, “The one who showed mercy ²  to him.” So ³  Jesus said to him, “Go and do ⁴  the same.”

Jesus ¹  also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down ²  on everyone else.

Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. ¹  They ²  know what I said.”

Then the commander ¹  of the temple guard ²  went with the officers ³  and brought the apostles ⁴  without the use of force ⁵  (for they were afraid of being stoned by the people). ⁶ 

But the man who was unfairly hurting his neighbor pushed ¹  Moses ²  aside, saying, ‘Who made ³  you a ruler and judge over us?

But Saul was trying to destroy ¹  the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off ²  both men and women and put them in prison. ³ 

He ¹  was a devout, God-fearing man, ²  as was all his household; he did many acts of charity for the people ³  and prayed to God regularly.

He ordered the centurion ¹  to guard Paul, ²  but to let him have some freedom, ³  and not to prevent any of his friends ⁴  from meeting his needs. ⁵ 

They also bestowed many honors, ¹  and when we were preparing to sail, ²  they gave ³  us all the supplies we needed. ⁴ 

Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions. ¹ 

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean in itself; still, it is unclean to the one who considers it unclean.

God chose ¹  what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something,

Now if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear among you, for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I am too.
