“This is the law of the diseased person on the day of his purification, when ¹  he is brought to the priest. ² 

Next to them will be the tribe of Manasseh. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.

Next will be ¹  the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the people of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni.

And the Kohathites set out, carrying the articles for the sanctuary; ¹  the tabernacle was to be set up ²  before they arrived. ³ 

So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan River ¹  across from Jericho. ²  They said,

Now Jair son of Manasseh went and captured their small towns and named them Havvoth Jair.

Then Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages and called it Nobah after his own name.

¹ These are the journeys of the Israelites, who went out of the land of Egypt by their divisions under the authority ²  of Moses and Aaron.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho. He said:

¹ Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the Moabite plains by the Jordan near Jericho. ²  He said:

The Lord’s angel camps around the Lord’s ¹  loyal followers ²  and delivers them. ³ 

By this ¹  I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does ²  not triumph ³  over me.

for you live among them. ¹  You sustain the oppressed with your good blessings, O God.

Kings leading armies run away – they run away! ¹  The lovely lady ²  of the house divides up the loot.

For my life ¹  is filled with troubles and I am ready to enter Sheol. ² 

Your plunder ¹  disappears as if locusts were eating it; ²  they swarm over it like locusts! ³ 

that we, being rescued from the hand of our ¹  enemies, may serve him without fear, ² 

Now ¹  there were shepherds ²  nearby ³  living out in the field, keeping guard ⁴  over their flock at night.

“But when you see Jerusalem ¹  surrounded ²  by armies, then know that its ³  desolation ⁴  has come near.

Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place from which you can observe them. You will see only a part of them, but you will not see all of them. Curse them for me from there.”
