He will encourage fathers and their children to return to me, ¹  so that I will not come and strike the earth with judgment.” ² 

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, ¹  nor permit your Holy One to experience ²  decay.

I will utterly destroy ⁴  this land, its inhabitants, and all the nations that surround it ⁵  and make them everlasting ruins. ⁶  I will make them objects of horror and hissing scorn. ⁷ 

The Lord says, ¹  “Beware! I am opposed to you, Babylon! ²  You are like a destructive mountain that destroys all the earth. I will unleash my power against you; ³  I will roll you off the cliffs and make you like a burned-out mountain. ⁴ 

Abraham approached and said, “Will you sweep away the godly along with the wicked?

So he overthrew those cities and all that region, ¹  including all the inhabitants of the cities and the vegetation that grew ²  from the ground.

Fish ¹  in the Nile will die, the Nile will stink, and the Egyptians will be unable ²  to drink water from the Nile.”’”

So fire went out from the presence of the Lord ¹  and consumed them so that they died before the Lord.

If a man has sexual intercourse ¹  with any animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal.

As for any person ¹  who does any work on this particular day, I will exterminate ²  that person from the midst of his people! ³
