Return it to its sheath! ¹  In the place where you were created, ²  in your native land, I will judge you.

By your great skill ¹  in trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart is proud because of your wealth.

Then you will remember your evil behavior ¹  and your deeds which were not good; you will loathe yourselves on account of your sins and your abominable deeds.

And when his mind ¹  became arrogant ²  and his spirit filled with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and his honor was removed from him.

I will deal with the people and priests together: ¹  I will punish them both for their ways, and I will repay them for their deeds.

They ¹  utter empty words, ²  taking ³  false oaths and making empty ⁴  agreements. Therefore legal disputes sprout up like poisonous weeds ⁵  in the furrows of a plowed field.

Do ¹  not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. ¹ 

You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

For what does it benefit a person ¹  if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

So also my heavenly Father will do to you, if each of you does not forgive your ¹  brother ²  from your heart.”

Jesus ¹  called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits. ² 

adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly.

Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more. ¹ 

Many scolded ¹  him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

But ¹  he replied, ²  “Why were you looking for me? ³  Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” ⁴ 

After ¹  Jesus ²  called ³  the twelve ⁴  together, he gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure ⁵  diseases,

For I was afraid of you, because you are a severe ¹  man. You withdraw ²  what you did not deposit ³  and reap what you did not sow.’

Jesus said, “Have ¹  the people sit down.” (Now there was a lot of grass in that place.) ²  So the men ³  sat down, about five thousand in number.

However, because Moses gave you the practice of circumcision ¹  (not that it came from Moses, but from the forefathers), you circumcise a male child ²  on the Sabbath.
