When a scorner is punished, the naive ¹  becomes wise; when a wise person is instructed, ²  he gains knowledge.

Whatever has happened is beyond human ¹  understanding; ²  it is far deeper than anyone can fathom. ³ 

You ¹  are to speak to all who are specially skilled, ²  whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, ³  so that they may make ⁴  Aaron’s garments to set him apart ⁵  to minister as my priest.

They are a nation devoid of wisdom, and there is no understanding among them.

if ¹  you seek ²  it like silver, ³  and search for it ⁴  like hidden treasure,

to deliver ¹  you from the way of the wicked, ²  from those ³  speaking perversity, ⁴ 

For he says: “By my strong hand I have accomplished this, by my strategy that I devised. I invaded the territory of nations, ¹  and looted their storehouses. Like a mighty conqueror, ²  I brought down rulers. ³ 

young men in whom there was no physical defect and who were handsome, ¹  well versed in all kinds of wisdom, well educated ²  and having keen insight, ³  and who were capable ⁴  of entering the king’s royal service ⁵  – and to teach them the literature and language ⁶  of the Babylonians. ⁷ 

Moses summoned ¹  Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom ²  the Lord had put skill – everyone whose heart stirred him ³  to volunteer ⁴  to do the work,

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, ¹  and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. ² 

and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

So Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person ¹  in whom the Lord has put skill ²  and ability ³  to know how ⁴  to do all the work for the service ⁵  of the sanctuary are to do the work ⁶  according to all that the Lord has commanded.”

He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, ¹  and his father was a craftsman in bronze from Tyre. He had the skill and knowledge ²  to make all kinds of works of bronze. He reported to King Solomon and did all the work he was assigned.

Will they not ¹  instruct you and ²  speak to you, and bring forth words ³  from their understanding? ⁴ 

He is wise in heart ¹  and mighty ²  in strength ³  – who has resisted ⁴  him and remained safe? ⁵ 

But an empty man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a human being. ¹ 

Neither gold nor crystal ¹  can be compared with it, nor can a vase ²  of gold match its worth.

Indeed, God is mighty; and he does not despise people, ¹  he ²  is mighty, and firm ³  in his intent. ⁴ 

Our Lord is great and has awesome power; ¹  there is no limit to his wisdom. ² 

Do not be wise in your own estimation; ¹  fear the Lord and turn away from evil. ²
