ת (Tav) Pay them back ¹  what they deserve, ²  O Lord, according to what they ³  have done. ⁴ 

¹ O Lord, reflect on ²  what has happened to us; consider ³  and look at ⁴  our disgrace.

But you, O Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation.

Your prophets have become like jackals among the ruins, O Israel.

I will destroy you, ¹  O Israel! Who ²  is there to help you?

Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for your sin has been your downfall! ¹

And you didn’t stop there, O Lord God! You have also spoken about the future of your servant’s family. ¹  Is this your usual way of dealing with men, ²  O Lord God?

Now ascend, O Lord God, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength! May your priests, O Lord God, experience your deliverance! ¹  May your loyal followers rejoice in the prosperity you give! ² 

Let none who rely on you be disgraced because of me, O sovereign Lord and king! ¹  Let none who seek you be ashamed because of me, O God of Israel!

I will express my thanks to you with a stringed instrument, praising ¹  your faithfulness, O my God! I will sing praises to you accompanied by a harp, O Holy One of Israel! ² 

The Beloved to Her Lover: Awake, O north wind; come, O south wind! Blow on my garden so that its fragrant spices may send out their sweet smell. ¹  May my beloved come into his garden and eat its delightful fruit!
