It came to the two-horned ram that I had seen standing beside the canal and rushed against it with raging strength. ¹

Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?

At the fords of the Arnon ¹  the Moabite women are like a bird that flies about when forced from its nest. ² 

Daughter Tarshish, travel back to your land, as one crosses the Nile; there is no longer any marketplace in Tyre. ¹ 

They will report that the fords have been captured, the reed marshes have been burned, the soldiers are terrified. ¹ 

When you finish reading this scroll aloud, tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates River. ¹ 

Justice must flow like torrents of water, righteous actions ¹  like a stream that never dries up.

He ¹  went into all the region around the Jordan River, ²  preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³

These things happened in Bethany ¹  across the Jordan River ²  where John was baptizing.

From there they moved on and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends from the regions ¹  of the Amorites, for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
