“Go and stand in the temple courts ¹  and proclaim ²  to the people all the words of this life.”

For the payoff ¹  of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

and I died. So ¹  I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life brought death! ² 

For the outlook ¹  of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

When Christ (who is your ¹  life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.

He died ¹  for us so that whether we are alert or asleep ²  we will come to life together with him.

And so, ¹  since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.” ² 

maintain ¹  yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating ²  the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. ³ 

While Gehazi ¹  was telling the king how Elisha ²  had brought the dead back to life, the woman whose son he had brought back to life came to ask the king for her house and field. ³  Gehazi said, “My master, O king, this is the very woman and this is her son whom Elisha brought back to life!”

So I recommend the enjoyment of life, ¹  for there is nothing better on earth ²  for a person to do ³  except ⁴  to eat, drink, and enjoy ⁵  life. ⁶  So ⁷  joy ⁸  will accompany him in his toil during the days of his life which God gives him on earth. ⁹ 

The Lord God formed ¹  the man from the soil of the ground ²  and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, ³  and the man became a living being. ⁴ 

So tell them ¹  you are my sister ²  so that it may go well ³  for me because of you and my life will be spared ⁴  on account of you.”

Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man who had lived a full life. ¹  He joined his ancestors. ² 

Then Isaac breathed his last and joined his ancestors. ¹  He died an old man who had lived a full life. ²  His sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his sons ¹  because he was a son born to him late in life, ²  and he made a special ³  tunic for him.

Now, do not be upset and do not be angry with yourselves because you sold me here, ¹  for God sent me ²  ahead of you to preserve life!

The Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back ¹  to Egypt, because all the men who were seeking your life are dead.” ²
