But ¹  those who were at the table ²  with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

Then ¹  a man named Jairus, who was a ruler ²  of the synagogue, ³  came up. Falling ⁴  at Jesus’ feet, he pleaded ⁵  with him to come to his house,

After ¹  the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. So ²  they kept silent and told no one ³  at that time ⁴  anything of what they had seen.

Then ¹  a man from the crowd cried out, ²  “Teacher, I beg you to look at ³  my son – he is my only child!

As ¹  he said these things, a woman in the crowd spoke out ²  to him, “Blessed is the womb ³  that bore you and the breasts at which you nursed!” ⁴ 

As he spoke, ¹  a Pharisee ²  invited Jesus ³  to have a meal with him, so he went in and took his place at the table. ⁴ 

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief ¹  was coming, he would not have let ²  his house be broken into.

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” ¹ 

Jesus ¹  also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, ²  you say at once, ‘A rainstorm ³  is coming,’ and it does.

When ¹  he said this all his adversaries were humiliated, ²  but ³  the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things ⁴  he was doing. ⁵ 

Then ¹  people ²  will come from east and west, and from north and south, and take their places at the banquet table ³  in the kingdom of God. ⁴ 

At that time, ¹  some Pharisees ²  came up and said to Jesus, ³  “Get away from here, ⁴  because Herod ⁵  wants to kill you.”

Now ¹  one Sabbath when Jesus went to dine ²  at the house of a leader ³  of the Pharisees, ⁴  they were watching ⁵  him closely.

Then ¹  you will be blessed, ²  because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid ³  at the resurrection of the righteous.”

When ¹  one of those at the meal with Jesus ²  heard this, he said to him, “Blessed is everyone ³  who will feast ⁴  in the kingdom of God!” ⁵ 

At ¹  the time for the banquet ²  he sent his slave ³  to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’

And in hell, ¹  as he was in torment, ²  he looked up ³  and saw Abraham far off with Lazarus at his side. ⁴ 

He ¹  was trying to get a look at Jesus, ²  but being a short man he could not see over the crowd. ³ 

And when Jesus came to that place, he looked up ¹  and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, ²  because I must ³  stay at your house today.” ⁴ 

Now ¹  when he approached Bethphage ²  and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, ³  he sent two of the disciples,
