And immediately he regained ¹  his sight and followed Jesus, ²  praising ³  God. When ⁴  all the people saw it, they too ⁵  gave praise to God.

And he summoned ten of his slaves, ¹  gave them ten minas, ²  and said to them, ‘Do business with these until I come back.’

Why then didn’t you put ¹  my money in the bank, ²  so that when I returned I could have collected it with interest?’

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more, ¹  but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. ² 

When harvest time came, he sent a slave ¹  to the tenants so that they would give ²  him his portion of the crop. ³  However, the tenants beat his slave ⁴  and sent him away empty-handed.

He will come and destroy ¹  those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” ²  When the people ³  heard this, they said, “May this never happen!” ⁴ 

For I will give you the words ¹  along with the wisdom ²  that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

But to all who have received him – those who believe in his name ¹  – he has given the right to become God’s children

John replied, ¹  “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven.

For the one whom God has sent ¹  speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly. ² 

Now he came to a Samaritan town ¹  called Sychar, ²  near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. ³ 

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw ¹  water.” ² 

Our ancestors ¹  ate the manna in the wilderness, just as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” ² 

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away. ¹ 

Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus ¹  began to argue with one another, ²  “How can this man ³  give us his flesh to eat?”

So Jesus added, ¹  “Because of this I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has allowed him to come.” ² 

Hasn’t Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps ¹  the law! Why do you want ²  to kill me?”

However, because Moses gave you the practice of circumcision ¹  (not that it came from Moses, but from the forefathers), you circumcise a male child ²  on the Sabbath.

I give ¹  them eternal life, and they will never perish; ²  no one will snatch ³  them from my hand.
