They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, ¹  but test ²  the spirits ³  to determine ⁴  if they are from God, because many false prophets ⁵  have gone out into the world.

Yet many of the crowd ¹  believed in him and said, “Whenever the Christ ²  comes, he won’t perform more miraculous signs than this man did, will he?” ³ 

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

About him all the prophets testify, ¹  that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins ²  through his name.”

For it has been granted to you ¹  not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him,

Early the next morning they marched out to the Desert of Tekoa. When they were ready to march, Jehoshaphat stood up and said: “Listen to me, you people of Judah ¹  and residents of Jerusalem! Trust in the Lord your God and you will be safe! ²  Trust in the message of his prophets and you will win.”
