“But as for that day or hour no one knows it – neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son ¹  – except the Father.

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

This ¹  is the bread that has come down from heaven, so that a person ²  may eat from it and not die.

But one of the soldiers pierced ¹  his side with a spear, and blood and water ²  flowed out immediately.

When it was already very early morning, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

But many of those who had listened to ¹  the message ²  believed, and the number of the men ³  came to about five thousand.

None of the rest dared to join them, ¹  but the people held them in high honor. ² 

When the brothers found out about this, they brought him down to Caesarea ¹  and sent him away to Tarsus.

But the centurion ¹  was more convinced ²  by the captain ³  and the ship’s owner than by what Paul said. ⁴ 

But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me.

But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Nevertheless, let us live up to the standard ¹  that we have already attained. ² 

But let none of you suffer as a murderer or thief or criminal or as a troublemaker. ¹ 

But if the ox had the habit of goring, and its owner was warned, ¹  and he did not take the necessary precautions, ²  and then it killed a man or a woman, the ox must be stoned and the man must be put to death.

However, you must not eat these ¹  from among those that chew the cud and have divided hooves: The camel is unclean to you ²  because it chews the cud ³  even though its hoof is not divided. ⁴ 

If, however, ¹  it is among the unclean animals, he may ransom it according to ²  its conversion value and must add one fifth to it, but if it is not redeemed it must be sold according to its conversion value.

However, you may not eat the following animals among those that chew the cud or those that have divided hooves: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger. ¹  (Although they chew the cud, they do not have divided hooves and are therefore ritually impure to you).

However, the women, little children, cattle, and anything else in the city – all its plunder – you may take for yourselves as spoil. You may take from your enemies the plunder that the Lord your God has given you.

However, you may chop down any tree you know is not suitable for food, ¹  and you may use it to build siege works ²  against the city that is making war with you until that city falls.
