Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, ¹  but those who promote peace ²  have joy.

The one who despises instruction ¹  will pay the penalty, ²  but whoever esteems instruction ³  will ⁴  be rewarded. ⁵ 

Leave the presence of a foolish person, ¹  or ²  you will not understand ³  wise counsel. ⁴ 

The scorner does not love ¹  one who corrects him; ²  he will not go to ³  the wise.

The delight of kings ¹  is righteous counsel, ²  and they love the one who speaks ³  uprightly. ⁴ 

The one who deals wisely ¹  in a matter ²  will find success, ³  and blessed ⁴  is the one who trusts in the Lord. ⁵ 

One who acts wickedly ¹  pays attention to evil counsel; ²  a liar listens ³  to a malicious tongue. ⁴ 

She opens her mouth ¹  with wisdom, and loving instruction ²  is on her tongue.

A poor but wise youth is better than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive advice.

Syria has plotted with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah to bring about your demise. ¹ 

Certainly the sovereign Lord does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, as to how they could assassinate ¹  him.

Then the Pharisees ¹  went out and planned together to entrap him with his own words. ² 

to do as much as your power ¹  and your plan ²  had decided beforehand ³  would happen.

Now after some days had passed, the Jews plotted ¹  together to kill him,

I am not writing these things to shame you, but to correct you as my dear children.

For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

But I say, live ¹  by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. ² 

Therefore, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, ¹  continue to live your lives ²  in him,

But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,
